Methi Paratha , the widely accepted and favorite traditional Indian paratha (flat bread) prepared from fenugreek leaves, whole wheat flour. This is one of the delicious foods that one ever would like to have on breakfast with hot tea or chutney or you even enjoy this on lunch or dinner. Methi Paratha Recipe
| 15 minutes | Serves: 3 serving ( 7-8 paratha) 25 minutes
Ingredients (Required For Methi Parantha)
- 1 cup of whole wheat flour
- 1 cup of finely chopped fenugreek leaves
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon paste of green chilli
- ½ teaspoon paste of ginger
- 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoons of curd
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Salt to taste
Process of Making Methi Paratha
#01 Pluck methi leaves from stems.
#02 Now add plucked leaves in a bowl and wash well at least for 2 to 3 times with water so that the dirt or debris is dissolved and separated.
#03 Now finely chopped the cleaned leaves of methi
#04 Add whole wheat flour, cumin seeds, ginger/chilli paste, red chilli powder, curd, 1 tablespoon of oil, finely chopped methi leaves and salt in a large bowl. Mix well.
#05 Add water as required to knead to smooth and soft dough as we do to make chapatti.
#06 Put little bit of oil all over the dough and cover with a cloth for 20 minutes.
#07 Knead the dough again and divide it into 7 or 8 equal portions to make a round shape like ball and press it between your palms.
#08 Take ½ cup of dry wheat flour in a small plate. Now take one pattie and coat it with dry wheat flour and place it over a rolling board.
#09 Roll it into circle as we do to make normal paratha. Spread few drops of oil over one half portion using a spoon or brush, fold it into a half a circle, again spread few drops of oil over it and fold it into a triangle.
#10 Coat the triangle shaped pattie with dry wheat flour and roll it out into a thin triangle.
#11 Heat the tava over medium flame. Once it heat, place rolled paratha over it. Once tiny bubbles start to appear on the surface, flip the paratha and spread ½ teaspoon of oil evenly on the surface with the help of spatula.

#13 Transfer it to a plate. Repeat the same process with rest other dough patties. Here you are ready with methi ka paratha, sever it with pickle or hot masala tea.
