Onion Pakoda Recipe

INGREDIENTS (REQUIRED OF ONION PAKODA)
- 4 onions finely sliced.
- ½ cup of gram flour (besan)
- ¼ cup of rice flour (for enhancing taste)
- 1 tsp grated or chopped ginger
- 6 or 7 curry leaves (if you have this is optional)
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- 2 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves
- A pinch Baking soda
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
METHOD OF MAKING
#1 Take sliced onion in a large bowl
#2 Add the above listed ingredients gram flour, rice flour, chopped ginger, curry leaves, red chilli powder, baking soda, coriander leaves and salt.
#3 Mix them well and keep aside for some time.
#4 Add water little by little till you get the thick better or the sliced onion is coated well with flour better.
#5 Heat oil in a deep and thick pan over medium flame (if you want you can check whether the oil is heated or not by placing a pinch of mixture it comes upward if oil is heated well)
#6 Now take a small portion mixture in hand and gradually drop 4 to 5 small fritters into the oil.
#7 Now let it deep fry until they turned into golden brown colour (keep stirring occasionally).
#8 Take them out with the help of slotted spoon and place them into kitchen paper so that excess oil is drained.
#9 Repeat the process for remaining better and deep fry like above mentioned.
#10 Now serve them with chutney or tea or coffee depending on your choice of taste.
